Operations:

Financial Planning is a service designed to address a client's wider financial needs such as their retirement goals, estate planning, structured tax planning and protection. Our Financial Planners work alongside our Investment Managers to complement their specialist investment goals, or independently to consider their broader, holistic needs. Within the Financial Planning Administration team you will assist our Financial Planners with new business processing, amend existing business, process and scan incoming mail from providers, in addition to completing changes of client data records, keeping providers updated with the changes. You will need excellent attention to detail, ability to follow procedures accurately, whilst using your own initiative.

About this opportunity:

This will be a full time (35hrs per week, working Monday-Friday) role on a permanent basis, based within our Newcastle office.

An opportunity to join a fantastic team, supporting accurate administration across the RBC Brewin Dolphin sectors as well as a chance to join a world leading financial company within the Financial Planning Administration team.

You must be able to work well with others and have strong communication skills. Product knowledge would be preferable, but is not essential as training will be provided, with ongoing coaching and support. The role is fast paced and the ability to adapt well to change is essential.

  • Previous administration experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Understand and adhere to Risk & Control Framework and Policy Framework specific to the role in Operations.
  • Ensure work is produced to a high level of accuracy and in a timely manner and to relevant SLAs (where defined) or Operations standards
  • Carry out all administrative duties where required in line with RBC Brewin Dolphin procedures
  • Support delivery of team plans via accurate recording of work in appropriate tools e.g. ActiveOps and ensuring Skills Matrix is reflective of current skillset
  • Support line manager in ensuring departmental guides, processes and procedures are worked from and kept up to date
  • Escalate any issues as appropriate to management in relation to daily workload completion a timely manner.
  • Support production of accurate MI and reporting as defined within role
  • Understand the team goals and the relationship to wider group strategy
  • Identify and highlight opportunities for simplification / innovation via continuous improvements in working practices, in conjunction with the Operations Change & Improvement team
  • Support delivery of projects where appropriate.
  • Participate and contribute to Team meetings
  • Help our clients thrive by providing an excellent client service, delivering against expectations and keeping all stakeholders updated.
  • Act with integrity by ensuring client confidentiality at all times
  • Ensure adherence to all Company Policies and Regulatory Codes of Conduct, ensuring relevant standards and consequence management are applied as appropriate
  • Contribute to a positive working environment and act as a role-model in line with group values encouraging colleagues to speak up for the good of RBC.
