Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service are looking for a Senior Ranger, with project management skills, who enjoys leading and mentoring staff and has experience with park management and overseeing operational program delivery. The Senior Ranger Springvale is responsible for coordinating and assisting with the delivery of operational programs for Springvale Station Nature Refuge specifically related to fire, pest, natural resource management, erosion management, assets, cultural heritage, compliance and safety. Springvale Station Nature Refuge is a 56,000ha property which is located 15km east
of Lakeland and 40km Southwest of Cooktown. This property has important natural and cultural values.

The ideal candidate for this position has a wide array of skills allowing them to:
- Lead and manage a team
- Establish and maintain effective relationships across a wide range of stakeholders including land owners and Traditional Owners
- Plan and manage emergency responses, critical incidents and operations involving compliance and enforcement
- Deliver and report on annual work schedules and budgets
- Plan develop and oversee infrastructure development and maintenance projects
- Prepare complex correspondence; and so much more!
