The role
As a Retail Supervisor with Coral Coast Distributors, you are an integral part of the team that makes up a locally owned business that is an industry leader in the area.
In this role, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the store, supervising the staff, providing a high level of customer service, processing retail sales, merchandising the store and managing inventory.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide sales and customer services as detailed in Operations Manual
· Ensure the stock in store is merchandised and displays are set up
· Ensure the store is neat and tidy and a safe environment
· Ensure stock levels and quality control standards are maintained in accordance with the Operations Manual, and standard operating procedures
· Receive stock
· Complete daily cash reconciliation and ensure banking preparations are accurate and completed in accordance with standard operating procedures
· Utilise cash register, EFTPOS machine in accordance with standard operating procedures
· Process and approve returns and refunds
· Conduct stock takes
· Daily banking and cash management for the store
· Answering phone and email enquiries and professional communication with clients over phone
· Utilise a wide range of software and technology including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, Tower POS
General
· Adhere to the company Polices & Procedure at all times
· Maintain confidentiality of client and company information
· Conduct our business in compliance with ethical practices
· Deliver a high level of customer service
· Maintain effective and open communication channels
· Facilitate and participate in team meetings
· Present in a professional manner with clean and tidy uniform
· Complete timesheets accurately and timely
Training
· Participate in training
· Provide on the job training & coaching for Retail Assistants
Teamwork
· You will display integrity and ethics consistent with your role within the business.
· Actively participate as a member of the team by undertaking all duties enthusiastically and cheerfully, maintaining a positive working relationship with management, staff and clients.
· Promotion of company culture and values.
Essential Criteria
· Experience in a retail management
· Experience in leading and managing others
· Excellent customer service skills
· Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills; including the ability to communicate effective with a broad section of the community
· Proven ability to record data, clearly, accurately and promptly, both manually and electronically
· Sound computer skills
· Demonstrated commitment to working respectfully with Indigenous and culturally and linguistically diverse clients, communities and staff.
· Working with Children Clearance
· National Police Criminal History Report (less than three months old) with acceptable outcome.
