Description:
Event Fire Warden:
- Conducts safety checks of venue looking for potential hazards and danger risks.
- Checks fire equipment are in good working order.
- Understands emergency fire panels and isolation of alarms.
- Supports the Chief Fire Warden or may need to fill this role.
- Responds to emergencies within the venue.
- Knows how to evacuate a building if required.
- Understands the Australian Standard 3745-2010
- Remains calm and focused in an event of an emergency.
- Knows how to use a fire extinguisher, fire blanket and fire hose.
- Effective communications skills - verbal and written.
Must have:
- Experience in this role or similar is essential.
- Current working with children and police check.
- Has current training and experience as an efficient member of the NSW Fire and Rescue Service for more than 3 years and/or holds qualifications in:
- Fire Warden, Fire Extinguisher and Chief Fire Warden
- PUAWER005B Operate as part of an emergency control organisation
- PUAWER008B Confined small workplace emergencies
- PUAWER006B Lead an emergency control organization
- PRMPFES05B -Use portable firefighting equipment
This role is ideal for fire fighters with NSW Fire Service or NSW Rural Fire Service.
Shifts are variable depending on the events - can be on weekdays, weekends and evenings.
