About the role:
CSBP Fertilisers is seeking an energetic and dynamic leader to join our despatch team as a Despatch Group Leader. The Despatch Group Leader role is a key member of the Despatch leadership team, supporting the Despatch Supervisor to achieve set targets and meet customer demands, whilst identifying and implementing improvement opportunities. You will be responsible for coordinating a multi-skilled team, ensuring day to day activities are carried out safely and in an environmentally responsible manner.
Key requirements for this role include:
- Promoting a strong safety culture within your team.
- Ensuring alignment of team members with CSBP Fertilisers objectives, strategies and values.
- Ensuring all required despatch work on shift is completed and recorded.
- Promoting the correct use of all CSBP systems and procedures.
- Ensuring customer service requirements are understood and considered at all times, assisting the business to meet Customer Service KPIs.
- Supporting ongoing maintenance requirements and coordinate breakdown maintenance to improve plant reliability and utilisation.
- Facilitating the completion of scheduled training and development, including assisting with the coaching and development of team members.
- Assisting in incident investigations and identify strategies to reduce risk.
- Managing Contractors to agreed standards.
The successful applicant for this role is:
A committed team player who is willing to work flexibly, with strong communication and interpersonal skills and a focus on learning and development. Demonstrable experience in effectively leading teams working on shift and driving a strong safety culture will be highly regarded. You will have:
- Demonstrated experience working within a manufacturing plant or similar industry;
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with diverse teams;
- Strong problem solving and analytical abilities;
- Excellent organization and time management skills;
