The role
We are looking for a committed and highly professional Executive Officer to support the WorkSafe Commissioner (Commissioner). This is a unique opportunity for a candidate that has the capacity to proactively solve problems and use their discretion and sharp administrative skills.
While providing operational support to the WorkSafe Commissioner, the Executive Officer will also be able to assist key stakeholders and navigate priorities and strategic objectives, delivering sound advice and analysis.

While this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other similar vacancies (permanent, fixed-term, full-time or part-time) within the department for the next 12 months, from the date that the recruitment breach period has been finalised.
To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments) at the time of application.

How to apply

- Demonstrated high level experience in an administrative support role at Executive level, including working independently and high degree of autonomy.
- Advanced organisational skills with the ability to weigh up the relative importance and urgency of competing work priorities and meet competing deadlines.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to consult with others and negotiate outcomes on complex matters.
