Endeavour Primary School (PS) is seeking to appoint an outstanding, collaborative and team focussed Deputy Principal to join their team.
In collaboration with the Leadership Team, the Deputy Principal would provide educational leadership in the school and the community by developing and promoting the school values, ethos and priorities, and encouraging students, staff, parents, community members and others to share ownership of the school's vision and goals. You will ideally have experience leading teacher quality, using evidence-based planning to improve learning outcomes and be able to work through complex situations in both a team environment and individually.
The successful applicant should possess a high level of interpersonal skills enabling them to build professional relationships with staff, to model and promote a culture of professional performance, providing mentoring and coaching where appropriate. These interpersonal skills would also be utilised to build partnerships with parents and the wider school community.
In addition to these elements, the Deputy Principal should also possess extensive knowledge in whole school approaches to curriculum, data analysis, and the ability to successfully assist staff with identifying key areas of focus.
Endeavour PS is located in the suburb of Port Kennedy, approximately 10km south of Rockingham. Working in partnership with the Endeavour Education Support Centre, we have formed Endeavour Schools to provide a truly inclusive setting for the benefit of all students from Kindergarten through to Year 6.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements:
- Capacity to provide effective leadership in a diverse range of educational settings;
- High level of interpersonal and public relations skills that demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships to achieve planned outcomes;
- Professional knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure a high level of educational outcomes for all students (e.g. Aboriginal students, students from diverse ethnic backgrounds and students with special needs).
- Capacity to manage staff, physical and financial resources.
