Dalyellup College is seeking to appoint a Teacher - Career Practitioner to join their friendly team.

The Role - Career Practitioner

Are you a teacher with a passion for helping students realize their full potential? We have an exciting opportunity for you to connect their school-based learning to their career aspirations! As a Career Practitioner, you will work alongside the school leadership team to refine current career development programs and integrate career learning and work exposure activities into curricular and co-curricular programs.

We are looking for an innovative and collaborative leader who can successfully implement career learning programs within different year groups and across all learning areas. Additionally, the successful candidate should have knowledge about the diversity of career pathways and possess strong communication skills to share information easily with students, staff, parents, training providers, employers, and industry.

The role will utilise your creativity, flexibility, and strong interpersonal skills. Networking skills will be essential, coupled with your ability to work with varied stakeholders. This role is important in our school, and there is scope to shape it to meet the needs of the successful candidate and the school.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):

  • Professional knowledge;
  • Professional practice; and
  • Professional engagement.
