A great opportunity now exists for experienced Manufacturing Operators working day, afternoon and night shift.
About the Role: Primarily this position is responsible for carrying out manufacturing functions in a safe manner within an extrusion facility, ensuring quality control measures are achieved.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate equipment and perform tasks inline with site Work Instructions / Safe Operating Procedures
- Ensure product quality and packaging standards are maintained and comply with delivery targets
- Participate in training to become a multi-skilled team member
- Communicate and endorse safety practices, monitor key safety performance indicators and visibly participate in promoting safety policies and initiatives
- Day to Day safe operation of Forklift
- Take full accountability for personal safety and well-being, develop an understanding of risk minimisation and be committed to achieving the highest possible standards for Safety, Health and the Environment (SH&E)
DESIRABLE
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with automated machinery
- Ability to identify problems and resolve or contribute to resolution thereof
- Understanding of basic safety principles
- Demonstrated experience in working in a team environment
- Basic understanding of quality principles
- Experience and knowledge of material handling
- Basic computer literacy skills
