We are Currently seeking a Technical Support professional to join the Bulk Material Handling team. The Technical Support - BULK is responsible for providing technical support for the BULK Material Handling Product Lines in the Asia Pacific Market Area. This will include from time-to-time site presence for dynastic investigations, trouble shooting, analytical assessment and operational review of the BULK Materials Handling Product Line. The role encompasses overall Sales Account Management, Quote and Order Management and Customer technical support, understanding the customer's needs and help create customer success, through opportunity conversion.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Provide technical sales support for opportunities within the Asia Pacific Region.
- Participate in Customer site based regular visits, with the intention of providing product based technical support.
- Provide Technical based Site Visit reports and distribute accordingly to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Participate in performance of process and mechanical audits
- Participate in the investigation of field problems, initiate reports, and work with the appropriate stakeholders to ensure corrective action has been taken
- Keeps abreast of new developments in industry by reviewing current technical literature, seminars, trade shows, technical associations, etc.
- Develop technical scopes of offer or part selection for both Quote and Order Management and proposals Teams.
- Participate in meetings for product Engineering and project management teams to ensure proper design and information is provided.
- Demonstrate a cooperative team approach and collaboration within the GBPS team.
- Develop a thorough working knowledge of Products and techniques associated with product support activities.
- Be willing to travel regularly to any of the Asia Pacific countries and customer sites
- Participate with stakeholders regarding problems, technical solutions, training & lecture information for presentations to client and professional groups.
- Assist Sales Department and Proposals in equipment selection and sizing, technical clarifications, and technical clarification meetings.
WHO YOU ARE:
- Mechanical Engineering Degree
- Experienced in a similar role
- Able to travel throughout the Asia Pacific region and global if required
- English proficiency
- Capable of writing scope of supply briefs to assist proposal team
- Able to work through strategic and tactical planning and implementation
