Description:
The Support Officer is responsible for assisting with aspects of front-line operational service delivery and fleet vehicle programs and processes to enable effective and efficient delivery of operational services. The role coordinates key fleet management responsibilities such as QAS lease account management, vehicle registration management, insurance management and fuel account management.The Support Officer will play an important role in maintaining a wide range of fleet and equipment systems and will provide advice to key internal and external stakeholders.
We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of contemporary issues impacting on the delivery of ambulance services and experience in the provision of effective asset management services in an ambulance environment.
- Proven effective administrative skills with a demonstrated high level ability in the use of software packages such as Excel and SAP, and the ability to acquire knowledge of other software.
- Demonstrated well developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise, consult and negotiate effectively with people at all levels within the department and with external stakeholders.
- Highly developed conceptual, problem solving and analytical skills including a demonstrated ability to interpret financial and trend/output/outcome performance data to drive performance improvement.
- Demonstrated commitment to implement practices which promote a fair and ethical workplace, employment equity, cultural diversity and occupational health and safety.
- Whilst not mandatory, qualifications in administration or business-related disciplines would be well regarded.
