SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HSE Adviser to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our organization complies with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations. The HSE Adviser will work closely with management and employees to develop and implement effective HSE policies and procedures.

RESPONSABILITES

  • Implementing HSE management systems at both project and operational levels.
  • Supervising inspections conducted by supervisory staff to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement control measures.
  • Providing mentorship and support to workers and supervisors regarding HSE procedures and instructions.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to effectively deliver HSE initiatives and education programs.
  • Facilitating incident response and assisting in investigating unplanned Health and Safety events for optimal outcomes.
  • Participating in emergency response drills and exercises to ensure employee readiness for potential emergencies.
  • Inputting and utilizing HSE data using online apps and resources for effective management at the project level.
  • Aligning with regulatory bodies, industry associations, and external stakeholders to stay informed of contemporary Health and Safety approaches.
  • Participating in working groups and committees, aiding in the coordination of external HSE-related audits, inspections, and meetings.
  • Promoting continuous improvement by advocating for HSE initiatives, recognizing achievements, and actively seeking feedback from employees and stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Australian HSE legislation, regulations, and industry standards
  • Cert 4 in Workplace/Occupational Health and Safety (tertiary qualifications preferred)
  • Certificate IV trainer assessor qualifications
  • Valid Australian work rights
  • Driver Licence
  • White Card
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
