The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Employee Relations Case Specialist to join the People & Culture team in Sydney on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.

Reporting to the Director of Manager Advisory Services , you will be providing employees and managers with support on complex HR related matters. A creative problem solver and collaborative contributor, you will apply your technical expertise in ER and HR to manage workplace related matters end to end. This is a great opportunity for someone seeking a challenging, varied and fascinating role in a niche area of HR which looks to make a real difference.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Providing end to end case management support on Employee Relations matters, including managing misconduct, workplace investigations, absenteeism, non-work-related illness and injuries, and performance management
  • Working in collaboration with our Employee Relations and Work Health Safety specialist functions
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of service delivery with matters ranging from investigating serious misconduct and employee grievances
  • Engaging P&C Tier 2b specialist functions of Safety & Wellbeing and Employee Relations to collaborate on resolving complex matters
  • Support the evolution of the Misconduct Framework

About You. As we grow our operations, we are looking for people who share our passion for delivering quality hearing solutions to our customers. To add value to Cochlear in this role, you'll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Case Management Experience including conflict resolution, injury management and handling employee grievances
  • Experience in working within a shared services environment with an understanding of ways of working which maximise the P&C value-chain
  • Experience working within a global shared services environment
  • Systems and process transformation experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
