We are looking to appoint a Food Production Supervisor who enjoys managing people and process. If you enjoy your weekends, and are seeking a senior role in a hospitality organisation this is for you.
WHERE ARE WE?
Our production kitchen is in the heart of the Sydney CBD, between Town Hall & Wynyard Train Stations. This ensures ease of access to all public transport modes.
THE ROLE
We are a technology and systems driven company which means you will walk into an established team structure and established processes. The right candidate is a person who thrives in managing teams and process.
The main functions of the role are:
- Manage a team of up to 20 production staff members in assembling food products. You will be supported by deputy team leaders.
- Products include sandwiches, wraps, pastries, salads and platters.
- There is no complex cooking required for this role; you will be focused on managing a team to assemble products in line with recipe cards, in an efficient and safe manner.
- Providing ongoing training and support for the production team to ensure the team is constantly supported and well equipped.
- Early mornings is essential; the role is Monday to Friday and starts at 3am.
- Enforce strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards, complying with health regulation standards.
- Managing inventory including placing orders and ensuring correct stock rotation.
- Managing rosters for the production team based on daily and weekly production requirements.
- Providing feedback to the operations team for ongoing process improvements.
- This is a hands-on role where you will be required to strike a balance between working alongside the production team and managing the team.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate must have:
- 3+ years minimum of management experience overseeing a team producing products.
- Must be available for 3am starts, Monday to Friday.
- This role could suit those that have been a food production supervisor, kitchen manager, kitchen team leader or venue managers.
- Demonstrate exceptional experience and knowledge of food safety compliance.
- Demonstrated experience in roster management.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a large team effectively.
- Unrestricted Australian working rights.

WHAT IS ON OFFER
- A permanent full time position.
- Total salary package of $75,000 to $85,000 per annum.
