About the opportunity

There is currently one (1) permanent – full time position available for immediate filling.

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and driven Senior GIS Officer to join our Geospatial Information Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and delivering geospatial services and applications within an ArcGIS Enterprise environment. You will develop custom functionalities within this platform to assist our clients in effectively delivering on their business needs, and you will be involved in delivering field mapping and data collection solutions that assist in streamlining business workflows. Your expertise will be instrumental in assisting the department to achieve its business initiatives with greater efficiency and effectiveness.

We are looking for individuals with:

  • Advanced knowledge and experience in creating and administering geospatial data services and applications within an ArcGIS Enterprise environment.
  • Experience with Python and Javascript development frameworks used in ESRI enterprise and desktop products including ArcPy, React, TypeScript.
  • Experience in creating custom widgets for ESRI's Experience Builder application authoring platform.
  • Knowledge and experience in developing and applying machine learning processes to the geospatial domain.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the proven ability to address complex issues and concepts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to consult with team members and key stakeholders to develop collaborative partnerships.

Employment Conditions and Additional Information

DPIRD is an Emergency Management Agency and all employees may be required to work or travel during, or outside of, normal business hours to assist with incidents and emergencies.
