Position Profile: The Senior Pharmacist leads the RPBG Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) Service in collaboration with the Department of Infectious Diseases and the AMS Pharmacist at Bentley Health Service. Aims to optimise antimicrobial use across RPBG by participating in the development of clinical guidelines, establishing and maintaining formulary restrictions and approval systems for antimicrobials, review and monitoring of antimicrobial prescribing and education of prescribers, pharmacists and nursing staff. Promotes safe, rational, cost-effective, and efficacious drug therapy by providing specialised Antimicrobial Stewardship services.
In this role you will plan, implement and evaluate patient safety and quality improvement projects. Practices as a Senior Pharmacist and ensures practice is in accordance with the Pharmacy Board of Australia Registration Standards, the Pharmacy Board of Australia Codes and Guidelines including the Pharmacy Code of Conduct for Registered Health Practitioners and EMHS policies and guidelines.
