THE ROLE
Set on an expansive site with brand new facilities and equipment, including a state of the art, 1200 sqm tissue culture facility that can accommodate up-to 50 staff, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Laboratory Technician to join our Quality Assurance team. Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, your role is vital to ensuring the integrity and quality of the tissue culture process.
Ideally, you will be managing production records, track process changes, capture costs of poor quality, identify process improvements, ensure compliance, collaborate with teams, provide relevant training, and maintain accurate documentation and reporting.
Some of your key duties will include:
- Embed processes and systems into the laboratory team's DNA for quick problem detection and resolution
- Maintain high-quality records throughout production phases
- Regularly inspect plants for contamination
- Perform routine temperature and humidity testing to maintain optimal growth conditions
- Write and review QA reports, standards, SOPs, and other relevant documentation, including testing and trial plans
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and guidelines, including on-the-job safety instructions

- Previous experience working in Quality and understanding of principles
- Previous experience leading small teams
- Ability to utilize a variety of highly developed problem-solving tools and techniques, based on logical assumptions and factual data, to identify root causes and conduct analysis.
- Exceptional interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
- Be able to communicate clearly and succinctly with others including in the delivery of written communication.
