About the role

Overview

The Female BAMS in Gynae Department plays a crucial role in providing specialized medical care to female patients within the gynecology department. This role is essential in diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of gynecological conditions, as well as providing compassionate and comprehensive care to patients.

Key responsibilities

  • Conducting gynecological examinations and assessments.
  • Diagnosing and treating gynecological conditions and diseases.
  • Providing prenatal and postnatal care to pregnant patients.
  • Performing gynecological surgeries and procedures.
  • Prescribing and administering appropriate medications and treatments.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Interpreting and analyzing diagnostic tests and results.
  • Ensuring accurate and detailed medical record-keeping.
  • Communicating effectively with patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment, and care plans.
  • Participating in ongoing medical research and staying updated on gynecological advancements.
  • Attending to emergency gynecological cases as required.
  • Adhering to all medical ethics and standards of practice.
  • Supervising and mentoring medical and nursing staff within the department.
  • Ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations and protocols.
  • Participating in continuous professional development and learning opportunities.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) degree from a recognized institution.
  • Valid state medical license and board certification in gynecology.
  • Proven experience working in a clinical setting, preferably in gynecology.
  • In-depth knowledge of gynecological conditions, treatments, and procedures.
  • Strong diagnostic and decision-making skills specific to gynecological care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with patients and colleagues.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
  • Proficiency in utilizing medical record-keeping systems and electronic health records.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
  • Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in clinical documentation.
