The Radiology Department

Alfred Health has one of the most experienced and advanced Radiology Departments in Australia and provides specialist diagnostic imaging and interventional procedures. The commitment of our 200 staff is underpinned by excellence and leadership in clinical practice, safety, teaching and research.

Imaging has an essential role for diagnosis, monitoring of therapy and for performing minimally invasive procedures. Consequently a broad range of internal, collaborative and commercially sponsored research is conducted in the department. Our research focuses on improving patient care through evidence based medicine and working with industry to translate innovation into clinical practice.

The Role

In your role as a research nurse with experience in interventional radiology and as a team member of the Radiology Research Unit, you will assist with the coordination of the Department's clinical trials and research program. You will assist with trial related patient procedures and interventional radiology procedures.

Skills

  • Nursing in Interventional Radiology (IR)
  • At least five years' experience in coordinating clinical trials
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; EDCs)
  • Ability to work efficiently with attention to detail, both independently and as a team member
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, well organised and self motivated
