Established in 2006 Merri Aluminium and Auto Doors, a family owned business, specialises in manufacturing, installation and glazing of aluminium windows and doors. We pride ourselves on having a high level of quality in all projects we undertake and offer our customers unequalled customer service. Merri Aluminium and Auto Doors are currently seeking the appointment of a trade qualified glazier for the position of Glazier.
About the role
Working in both commercial and domestic glazing we seek an experienced glazier to work on a broad range of glass and glazing services including but not limited to: Glass replacement, glazing of commercial frames, site glazing of domestic frames, mirrors, splashbacks, shower screens, balustrades, security doors and fly screens. Under the supervision of the Glazing Manager you will be expected to coordinate the glazing teams daily and weekly work schedule, communicate with customers when booking in jobs and measure and quotes, ensure trucks are loaded ready for the next days work, manage stock levels and coordinate with clients, builders and production staff to ensure the smooth running of jobs.
Also offered is continuous training with Australian Glass & Window Association to your encourage learnings in a changing industry
Required Skills and Experience
- Trade qualified glazier
- Complete knowledge of AS1288
- Experience in commercial and domestic glazing
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to problem solve and provide solutions to internal and external enquiries
- Proficient in measuring and providing detailed drawings
- Excellent leadership and time management skills
- Basic computer skills and the ability to manage online job tickets and purchase orders
- Training on using our Smart Lift vacuum lifter
