Are you an experienced Project Manager seeking to join a reputable builder company with year-on-year growth

Your new company

A family-owned South Australian-based builder who has been operating in the industry for over 20 years. This company engages in construction and maintenance projects throughout South Australia, covering all stages of the building life cycle. Their services span from small $1,000 maintenance jobs to multi-million dollar construction projects.

Your new role

You’ll be joining the Project Management Team delivering projects from $500K to $5M. They are a flexible builder who undertakes a wide range of projects, so you will be exposed to a number of different project types, clients and various project sizes. You’ll be responsible for managing the programme, overseeing the project budget, and leading the project team consisting of a Contract Administrator and Site Manager, including some mentoring along the way. You will also have the support of our Construction and Administration teams to assist and support through day-to-day activities. You’ll have a laptop, company phone, and work primarily at their newly refurbished office with free off-site parking close to the CBD.
The role includes but is not limited to:

  • Lead project teams to complete projects on time and to budget.
  • Manage project risks and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Develop relationships with clients, key subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Scrutinise subcontractors' quotes and make risk-calculated decisions.
  • Actively help train the next generation of building professionals.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Past experience in Project Manager roles in the commercial construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and procedures, specifically with how to build and manage a project program using MS Project.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Enthusiasm to pass on your knowledge to others with a positive and can-do attitude.
