Location: Launceston, TAS
Hours: Rostered shifts, permanent, full-time
Salary: $ up to $99k per annum depending on salary + Super + NFP Salary Packaging!

About the role
Reporting to the nurse unit manager, our clients' registered nurses are responsible for providing safe, effective, and appropriate patient care for patients requiring high dependency and cardiology intervention.
Their RNs are supported in their ongoing clinical education and provided with opportunities for career progression.
Some of your responsibilities will include

• Close Patient Monitoring:
  Monitor vital signs, lab results, and overall patient condition.
  Identify subtle changes and intervene quickly to prevent deterioration.
• Advanced Interventions:
  Administer medications (including IV therapies), manage complex wound care, provide respiratory support, and respond to emergencies as part of a specialist team.
• Critical Care Support:
  Collaborate closely with ICU nurses and doctors.
  Assist in transferring patients to and from ICU, and provide post-ICU step-down care.
• Patient and Family Communication:
  Explain procedures, provide updates on patient status, and offer emotional support to patients and their families in a sensitive and compassionate way.

What you bring

• AHPRA Registration with a current practising certificate
• Must have demonstrated critical care experience.
• A Postgraduate Certificate in Critical Care / Cardiology Nursing is highly regarded
• Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
• Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
• A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission-based organisation
