About the role
The position of Boilermaker forms a key component of the Progress Rail Service team in Redbank. This will join a growing team within the locomotives department conducting overhaul and repairs.
About you
- Experienced Boilermaker with fabrication experience.
- Experience medium/heavy fabrication work is desirable.
- Welding quality of high standards.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Understanding of AUS Standard Welding Codes.
- Problem solving skills and attention to detail with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
- High level of communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability and willingness to further your knowledge and skills with additional training.
- High level record keeping ability.
- Ability to work shifts and overtime as required.
Skills and experience
- Trade qualifications.
- Locomotive experience advantageous but not essential. We are willing to train the right candidate.
- Previous experience working within a heavy maintenance/ asset management environment preferred but not essential.
- Certified competency as a forklift operator, overhead crane driver would be advantageous but not essential.
