Heavy Vehicle Mechanic $40 - $45 per hour + penalty rates on overtime Onsite – Byron Bay location We are actively recruiting for our national client who is an Industry leader, family-owned business with long term growth plans providing strong focus on both diversity and sustainability.About You:
- Relevant Trade Qualification with proven experience in heavy or light vehicles
- Strong work ethic and self-motivated
- Strong initiative and an ability to work independently and within a team
- Excellent communication skills (both verbally and written)
- Attention to detail, reliable and punctual
- Competent in fault diagnosing
- Unwavering commitment to safety and efficiency
- Current rigid truck drivers licence
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct all facets of preventative maintenance and repair of heavy vehicles
- Ensure fleet is maintained and compliant with company standards
- Work safely and effectively following safety guidelines and procedures
- Maintain service records and documentation to a high standard
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- General fault diagnosis and repairs
- Be on call for breakdown duties when required
If successful, you will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical along with drug and alcohol testing. Evidence of driving record/history may also be required.
