We have an immediate opportunity for an ANZ IT Manager/Engineer to join an international consumer electronics business located in Sydney's CBD.
Our client is a dynamic, progressive and innovative international electrical goods company focused on local growth and customer satisfaction.Reporting to the APAC Head of IT, this person will specialise in End User Support (EUS) and Digital technologies and support their fast-growing ANZ business.
Your responsibilities will include:
End User Support:
- Provide timely and effective technical assistance to end users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues
- Manage and prioritise support tickets through a centralised system
- Conduct thorough troubleshooting and root cause analysis to identify and resolve recurring technical issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy, maintain, and optimise digital infrastructure components
- Monitor system performance and reliability, implementing necessary upgrades, patches, and configurations
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Install, configure, and support a variety of software applications used across the organisation, including productivity suites, collaboration tools, and specialised business applications
- Facilitate software updates and license management.
- Oversee IT procurement processes, including vendor selection, negotiation, and purchasing of hardware, software, and peripherals
- Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets, tracking hardware and software licenses, warranties, and maintenance agreements
- Develop and implement asset management policies and procedures.
- Implement and enforce security best practices, including access controls, data encryption, and vulnerability management
- Stay informed about emerging threats and industry trends, and proactively recommend security enhancements.
- Develop and deliver training materials and workshops to educate end users on IT best practices, cybersecurity awareness, and utilisation of digital tools and resources
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an IT Engineer or similar role
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems
- An Advanced understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security practices
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues in a Windows and/or macOS environment
- A strong understanding of ITIL framework and best practices for incident, problem, and change management
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
This is an initial 6-month full-time opportunity with the option to convert to a permanent position.
