Temporary Opportunity to work for a wonderful for purpose organisation as an Accounts Payable/Receivable Officer!

  • Start date 14th of May
  • Temporary role for minimum 8 weeks, full-time opportunity
  • $40 per hour + super
  • Located in South Penrith, parking on site

About the organisation:
The NSW Rural Fire Service Association (RFSA) are a NFP Membership Association that is the authoritative voice in representing the volunteers of the NSW RFS. They are committed to advocating and supporting their members as they protect the community.
They provide a broad range of operational and welfare support for volunteers and staff, including; Training and Events, Education Scholarships, Volunteers Family Days, Counselling and Family Support, and Grants Programs.
Duties and responsibilities:
  • Accurately inputting invoices into the system to ensure seamless financial record-keeping
  • Managing creditor payments on a weekly basis, ensuring timely and accurate payments
  • Maintaining various spreadsheets related to fundraising and donations to track and analyse financial information effectively
  • Handling weekly banking tasks and retail clearing processes efficiently
  • Keeping grant review sheets up to date to support grant application processes
  • Assisting in the preparation of grant applications and purchase orders as required
  • Handling various administrative tasks such as email correspondence, document filing, printing, and scanning to support day-to-day operations
Previous skills and experience:
  • Demonstrated experience in Accounts Payable/Receivable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of accounting software such as MYOB
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Outstanding organisation skills with the ability to remain positive
  • Experience in the NFP/Association sector highly desirable
  • Immediately available
