The Company
Our client is a well known Australian corporate who operate in the manufacturing industry, and are well known for their products & services across the world. They are proud to have a large head office based in the inner suburbs of Brisbane, with a high performing and tenured finance and accounting function.

Due to growth, they are looking to hire an upcoming Management Accountant to support the business partner in a key operational division. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious candidate to make a long term move into financial planning & analysis, business partnering, and learning the inner workings of a successful business.

Over time, the Management Accountant will develop strengths in advising on commercial outcomes, develop key performance indicators, and manage planning, analysis, and reporting for key stakeholders.

The Role:
Other duties include:

• • Preparation of monthly management accounts including journal entries, accruals and General Ledger reconciliations for the Business Units.
  • Develop analysis & reporting to assist management in understanding the dynamics of the business, the trends and the reasons for those trends.
  • Provide analytical insights based on data to understand underlying drivers and performance indicators
  • Preparation of detailed budgets and forecasts

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies.

• Tertiary qualification in a related field and registered or accredited professional and part-qualified CA/CPA/CIMA is preferred
• Demonstrated foundational experience across management accounting and/or financial planning & analysis (or experience in professional services)
• Professional and committed with a continuous improvement mindset, the ability to challenge existing processes, the ability to apply technical skills in a practical and commercial manner;
• Strong communication skills and an ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
