About the OPPORTUNITY

This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent and Fixed Term appointments at various hours. Fixed Term appointments include the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

This is an “open-ended” recruitment pool, and as such the following should be noted:

  • The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications, and will assess on a regular basis.
  • Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur.
  • Appointments may be made from this pool until 28/06/2024.

A rewarding and interesting role where you will:

  • The role is for Visiting Midwife Service
  • Manage, coordinate and provide competent, evidence-based midwifery care within the scope of practice of a Midwife, using leadership and advanced midwifery skills and knowledge relevant to the Geraldton Hospital Visiting Midwifery Service.
  • To provide clinical supervision for midwives, registered nurses, enrolled nurses, unregulated care workers including assistants in nursing and students

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and experience in the delivery of evidence-based midwifery care within a relevant practice setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to function as a team leader and team member within a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Demonstrated well-developed communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills; including effective negotiation, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated incorporation of quality and risk management principles within practice.
