Job Description

About the Role

As a key member of the ATSICHS Brisbane team, the Youth Services Outreach Support Worker plays a crucial role in shaping and achieving ATSICHS's vision and goals. They focus on three main functions: identifying and addressing the genuine needs and aspirations of young people, diverting them from the criminal justice system by providing safe transportation, and linking them to case management services. The worker also contributes to the organisation by diligently recording client information, building relationships with young people, and supporting colleagues to create a flourishing team environment. This role aims to achieve behavioural changes and engagement with ATSICHS Youth Case Managers while promoting ATSICHS values and culture.

Duties

  • Meet individual case performance targets as per weekly, monthly and quarterly dashboard system.
  • Provide high quality and intent-based practice in all interactions with clients, consistent with the ATSICHS values and vision.
  • Provide high quality case management practices and record keeping that adhere to operational requirements.
  • Demonstrate positive and warm engagement through an assertive outreach approach that engages clients into the service.
  • Facilitate a client-led assessment and Care Plan to identify the client’s goals, including the entire family, where appropriate.
  • Provide role-specific targeted interventions and family facilitated group meetings in achieving client goals.
  • Commit to a high level of quality management for ATSICHS through use of LogiQC quality management systems and MobNet tasks.
  • Cultivate productive working relationships at all levels, which support the nurturing of internal and external relationships, facilitates cooperation, trust and respect, values differences and diversity and guides, mentors and focuses on the development of staff.

Desired Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • Current Diploma - or actively studying towards - Diploma in social work, Human Services, Social Science, Health, Allied Health, Youth Work, Community Services, Family Intervention, or 2 years’ relevant experience in field or Certificate III or higher in relevant field and 12 months experience within ATSICHS Youth or Outreach Team

Desirable, but not mandatory:

  • Requirement to travel across the Logan and/or Brisbane region, as per program location.
  • Requirement to work after-hour, including night rosters and weekends.
  • Current drivers licence
  • Flexibility to work outside of 3:00pm – 12:00am
  • Working with Children’s Card (Blue Card) or be eligible to apply
