Role Summary:The role partners with stakeholders to provide advice, support and guidance on procurement activities ensuring best practice procurement across Planning Ministerial Corporation.
Key accountabilities
- Provide expert advice, information and guidance on procurement schemes and panels to Planning Ministerial Corporation and provide governance and support on the categories of spend.
- Conduct procurement activities and training in accordance with established policies and procedures to meet business needs ensuring adoption of best practice, and participate in negotiations to establish and review supply arrangements that will deliver value for money procurement outcomes.
- Assess and analyse procurement requisitions and processes in order to provide a prompt response to ensure service delivery within agreed timeframes, quality standards, and budgetary constraints.
- Advise business units on contracts approaching expiry and validating stakeholder needs to evaluate whether new procurements are required. Maintain the GIPA database with mandatory disclosure requirements for purchase orders above the nominated procurement level.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders including wide range of internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner, on a wide range of issues and needs to ensure priorities are met.
- Utilise and maintain comprehensive systems and procedures, including the utilisation of the records management system, and make recommendations for the improvement of processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Planning Ministerial Corporation procurement practices.
- Previous professional experience in procurements
