The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Project Coordinator with proven on-site construction experience, ideally working on-site for a main contractor or sub-contractor across Tier 1 & Tier 2 projects.

Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible to plan, manage and deliver the construction cleaning works across multiple major projects from start to completion. You will monitor and track project budgets and ensure they are delivered within budget, deliver the scope of works to timeframe, whilst maintaining high quality, WHS compliance and meeting customer expectations.

This is a hands-on role working across various major Tier 1 projects, with work commencing at 6.45am daily, across Monday to Friday with Saturday commitments.

You’ll be a driven, motivated and proactive individual who can train and manage teams to ensure maximum productivity, with the ability to prioritise works to complete and problem-solve daily challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day planning, management and delivery of construction cleaning works across multiple major projects
  • Coordinate project requirements with clients and meet project programs and deadlines
  • Set up of equipment and materials for daily works across projects
  • Manage and track project budgets and schedules with reporting on budget actuals and program
  • Lead, mentor and train staff to ensure productivity, WHS compliance and correct work methodology and procedures
  • Deliver on the Scope of Works and identify any variations
  • Understand and interpret project architectural drawings and elevations
  • Manage all safety documentation, communication,and compliance i.e. Pre-Start meetings, Toolbox Talks, SWMS, HSEQ etc
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits for quality assurance
  • Coordinate staff allocations according to client requests and works to complete and schedule daily rosters
  • Ensure all staff and jobs are scheduled optimally to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Obtain client sign-off for all completed works and ensure any additional works outside of scope are approved and signed off
  • Identify and manage safety compliance, risks and hazards
  • Ensure projects are completed and handed over to clients within contract scope and program, client expectations, safety, quality etc
  • Provide regular reporting on projects and budgets to the Operations Manager & Director

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a project management/operations role on major projects
  • Relevant trade or tertiary construction qualifications
  • Ability to proactively plan, take ownership & manage multi-faceted projects
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver projects to budget and forecasting
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organisational, prioritising and time management skills
  • A leader who can effectively manage and train a team, ensuring high productivity
  • Hands-on approach with a whatever it takes attitude
  • Excellent communication skills and rapport-building
  • Strong work ethic, demonstrates initiative and meets deadlines
  • Able to handle working under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Takes pride in delivering high-quality work and exceptional service
  • Honest, motivated and enthusiastic team player
  • A valid Australian Drivers Licence

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

  • Performance bonus
