Seeking an Outreach Case Manager to empower women & children impacted by family violence. Providing support and advocacy for women and children.
ClientBrightside Recruitment is partnering with a family violence organisation based in Melbourne. The organisation are dedicated to providing advocacy and support for the empowerment of women, children, young people, and the wider community.
Role
We're looking for a Outreach Case Manager to join their team. The Outreach Case Manager will play a crucial role in providing high-quality specialist family violence and housing case management support and advocacy for up to 14 women and their accompanying children.
This includes initial contact, assessment, safety planning, case planning, and exit planning. Candidates will need to provide appropriate crisis intervention support, case management, and advocacy women and their children and be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the complex nature and dynamics of family violence, particularly its impact on women and children. Duties include risk assessments, safety plans, and support women in identifying appropriate housing options.
There is also innovation space for development and implementation of new projects or initiatives related to supporting Aboriginal women and children who have experienced family violence.
Criteria
- Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent.
- 1-2 years experience in casework services or similar community service work are highly desired
- Candidates with experience working in a domestic & family violence and/or child protection setting are highly desired
- Current Working with Children's Check.
- Current Victorian Police Check
- Current Victorian Driver's License.
- Full-time and part-time, permanent position.
- Employment is dependent upon ongoing funding.
- Salary Classification: SCHADS Award L3-5 depending on experience.
