About the Job

Work as a partner with the Workplace Super and Advice teams in your capacity as first line of defence to assist the business in identifying risks and establishing controls to manage risks within the business appetite. Be an Advice compliance subject matter expert to establish and maintain processes and procedures to support the team to do what they do best.

Support the management of the Operational Risk requirements for the Advice teams including:

  • identifying and assessing risks.
  • establishing controls to mitigate the risks.
  • assessing control design and operating effectiveness
  • reviewing and collating data for key risk indicators
  • providing reporting and presentations to the business to ensure clear visibility of the risks.
  • providing risk support
  • ensuring incidents are managed end to end including investigation and remediation

Support the management of the Compliance requirements for the Advice teams including:

  • establishing and maintaining policies and procedures.
  • running training as required.
  • monitoring and imbedding relevant legislation.
  • ensuring content is always compliant and technically current and up to date including advice documents, fact sheets and digital tools.
  • ensuring robust testing is carried out for digital tools to ensure they are delivering accurate outcomes.
  • ensuring process and procedures are being read, understood, and followed.
  • conducting quality assurance.
  • ensuring Rest Advice and Member Connections comply with laws and regulations.
  • Ensuring the relationship with our Licensee is well managed.
  • the Rest Advice complaints handling process.
  • completing regular compliance reporting and reconciliation.
  • providing compliance support.
  • Any other tasks required in order to deliver on the Quality outcomes of the team including maintaining good record keeping of activities.

Qualifications


About You:

  • Tertiary qualifications in, law, economics, business or equivalent

Required experience, understanding or credentials including :

  • Proven experience in risk management and compliance in the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial services regulations and legislation valued.
  • Strong understanding of risk frameworks in the financial services industry valued.
  • Experience in working on multiple projects, and prioritising competing deadlines.
  • Ability to work in an environment requiring attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including influencing, negotiating and decision-making.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Experience in interpretation of compliance obligations and requirements highly valued.
