About The Position

The Industry Engagement Senior Officer for STEM will oversee all administrative aspects related to industry engagement within the STEM field. This entails establishing and maintaining connections with both current and prospective industry partners, organizing events, generating regular reports, and managing databases. This position operates within the Business Development and Partnerships portfolio, facilitating a wide range of business development opportunities across the STEM college.

Additionally, the Industry Engagement Senior Officer will play a role in fostering continuous improvement within the team and cultivating a collaborative work environment. They will provide proactive support to team members during busy periods and serve as the primary contact for administrative inquiries.

To be successful in this position, you'll have:

  • Demonstrated communication, relationship building and negotiation skills with the ability to work collegiately with academic and professional staff, students, and external clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a demanding high-volume environment with excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.

  • Proven project management experience and planning skills to ensure the achievement of project goals, participation targets and semester objectives.

  • Demonstrated analytical and conceptual skills, including the ability to think creatively and exercise in a dynamic environment.

  • Commitment to quality service delivery and sensitivity regarding confidential communications.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer software packages with accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to learn new technical skills.
