Overview:
As a Retail Coordinator for our title challenging Supercars team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the retail experience for our fans, supporters and team members. You will be responsible for implementing and managing the retail strategy, ensuring a seamless operation both online and on track. From overseeing the online store to managing on-site sales, design, marketing, finances, and supplier relations, your contributions will directly impact the team's success and the overall profitability of our retail operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Retail Strategy Implementation:
- Develop and execute retail strategies aligned with the team's objectives to maximize revenue generation opportunities.
- Continuously assess market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to adapt strategies accordingly.
Online Store Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the team's online store, ensuring a user-friendly interface, timely updates, and efficient order fulfillment.
- Collaborate with web developers and designers to optimize the online shopping experience and enhance customer engagement.
On-Track Sales Management:
- Coordinate on-track retail sales activities during race events, including booking the site, merchandise display, inventory management, and customer interactions.
- Implement sales techniques to drive on-site purchases and enhance fan engagement with the team's brand.
- Ensuring all stock and the stall is delivered in a timely, cost effective manner to the track.
Merchandise Design Management:
- Work closely with design teams to develop and curate merchandise stock, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and fan preferences.
- Monitor stock levels and collaborate with suppliers to order inventory in a timely manner.
- Propose race specific ranges that would have financial benefit for the business.
- Ensure that we are the best in class with a fashionable premium design that is the leader in pit lane.
- Work with the commercial team on partners contractual visibility on all items of merchandise.
Marketing of Retail Store:
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns to promote the team's retail store, both online and on-site together with the commercial team.
- Utilize various marketing channels such as social media, email, and partnerships to expand the reach and visibility of the retail operations.
Financial Management:
- Monitor and analyse retail sales performance, expenses, and profitability metrics.
- Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
Supplier Relations:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and agreements to ensure quality products and timely deliveries.
- Evaluate supplier performance and seek opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Create partnerships with apparel manufacturers to elevate the level of product and bring down costs.
Team Kit Management
- Manage the process to kit out the race team with agreed uniform for the race season.
- Ensure team kit is delivered in a timely fashion to all team members before the new race season, and for new team members throughout the year.
- Work across the companies various business units to fit out all staff across the business.
Business Growth Initiatives:
- Identify and pursue opportunities to grow the overall profitability of the retail business, such as expanding product lines, creating strategic partnerships, exploring new sales channels, or enhancing customer loyalty programs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate retail initiatives with broader marketing and sponsorship strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in retail management, preferably within the sports industry or a related field.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, retail operations, and merchandising principles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and budget management.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
