Job Description

The trade marketing team is the B2B marketing function at Nine, including marketers, event managers and designers who together create meaningful sales collateral, campaigns and events that influence and change the perception of Nine’s brands and products in the eyes of advertisers, creative agencies, media buyers and industry press. The division sits within Nine’s Group Marketing function.

Reporting to the Head of Content, the Group Trade Marketing Manager is directly involved in planning, developing and executing trade campaigns and initiatives, overseeing timely go-to-market collateral across Total Television, Publishing and Audio, working with stakeholders to achieve key business outcomes and being the key contact for Internal Communications. With 2x direct reports, this role is responsible for overseeing wider team projects, managing multiple tasks at any given time, as well as supporting, guiding and inspiring the team to grow.

Note - This role is a 13 month maternity leave cover contract.

Role responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Content Partnerships stakeholders to lead medium scale go-to-markets across Total Television, Publishing & Audio brands
  • Lead comms planning & execution across Nine’s owned channels: LinkedIn, our corporate website NineforBrands.com.au, fortnightly Nine Insights newsletters & internal Audience Insights reporting
  • Support on initiatives such as Nine’s Talking Media podcast production
  • Lead Powered by Nine case study execution
  • Support on post campaign reporting & analysis, including bringing new ideas & initiatives to the table
  • Management of 2x direct reports in Trade Marketing Executive roles

Qualifications

  • High attention to detail
  • Strong project management skills, from concept to execution
  • Ability to adapt to fast paced environments
  • Strong copywriting skills
  • Team player who enjoys a challenge, encouraging others to take initiative & grow their skillset
  • A great communicator, able to liaise with stakeholders from all functions, at all levels
  • Demonstrate a passion for media & marketing with their finger on the pulse of key industry updates & advancements

Nice to have:

  • 2-3+ years of marketing management experience (B2B preferable)
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Office (particularly PowerPoint)
