Parks Victoria are looking for a Project Officer to provide high level support for the delivery of the North region recovery program

  • $87,557 - $94,037 Plus Superannuation

About the role

As a Project Officer, your main responsibility will be to coordinate impact assessments, develop recovery and reopening plans, and work closely with the Northern Victoria Recovery team and regional staff to manage the delivery of works such as hazardous tree management, roading works, and other duties as directed. This will include handling procurement and quality assurance.

Your role as a Project Officer will require you to assist in works that are to be delivered as part of a defined project with specific funding allocated to that project. You must have a solid understanding of project management and the objectives of the work and prioritise the work accordingly.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Demonstrated experience in project management - planning and delivery.
  • Experience in reviewing expert and technical advice.
  • Working knowledge of fire and emergency operations is preferred.
  • Stakeholder management experience and excellent communication skills are required.
  • Tertiary qualification in Science and/or equivalent experience in a similar field is desirable.
