Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in bioinformatics, computer science, data science, software engineering/development, chemistry, biology, or related field.
- Experience in the development of scientific software and data science tools.
- Strong skills in multidisciplinary (scientific and technical) communication.
- Familiarity with software development/data science teams, contributing to project/product codebases.
- Willingness to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Competencies:
- Proficiency in Python development; familiarity with SQL, Elasticsearch, bash scripting, Linux CLI, and Dataweave is a plus.
- Proficiency with code repositories and development management tools (e.g., GitHub, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, Jira).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with visualization and analysis tools such as Plotly/Python Dash, Shiny, PowerBI, Jupyter notebook, Domino Data Lab.
- Willingness to develop business analysis skills, capability to gather and analyze user requirements, proposing innovative solutions.
- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects effectively and independently.
- Self-starter, excellent teamwork, problem-solving and time management skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from diverse scientific/technical backgrounds.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
