We're looking for a Head of Social Media to steer the strategic direction of content creation across all social channels for Entain's brands. Our Content team need an empowering leader to advocate for bold and innovative strategies while liberating their creative potential to reach it's greatest heights.
As our Head of Social Media you will lead our dedicated Content team, explore and refine our influencer strategy, and drive our social media presence across all social channels. Passionate about social media engagement and well versed in strategy development, you will review and reform our current content with a sharp eye and tailor our approach to each individual social platform. This role would be perfect for someone who is looking to be surrounded by a bigger content support network, or someone who is currently operating at a Manager/Senior Manager level who is looking to step into a Head role.

We have offices in Auckland, Wellington, Darwin, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. We value a flexible work environment and support a hybrid working model, allowing employees to spend two days a week at the office, ensuring work-life balance and individual preferences. We are open to our candidate being based in any of these office locations.
Your day-to-day...
- Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies tailored to each brand, including platform selection, content themes and social media tactics to drive audience engagement and growth.
- Content Creation & Curation: Supervise the creation of engaging and visually appealing content, including posts, visuals and videos, while ensuring consistency with brand identity.
- Influencer Strategy Development: Amplify Entain’s brands presence across social media platforms. Identity and cultivate partnerships with influencers, content creators and thought leaders to create authentic and engaging content that resonates with their followers while spreading our brand messaging.
- Community Management: Foster and engage with in-platform social media communities to build loyalty, enhance brand advocacy, and drive meaningful interactions.
- Trend Monitoring & Industry Insight: Stay abreast of social media trends, algorithm changes, regulatory updates and changes in consumer behaviour in order to inform content strategies and develop a competitive advantage.
- Advertising & Paid Campaigns: Develop and execute optimised paid media strategies across social platforms ensuring content relevancy and maximising ROI on media spend.
- Analysis & Performance Tracking: Utilise data-driven insights to analyse content effectiveness and optimise strategies.
- Social Listening: Implement social listening strategies to monitor conversations and trends relevant to Entain’s brands in Australia and New Zealand. Use social listening to inform content preferences and topics.
You're a match if you ideally have...
- Proven experience as a Social Media Manager, with some experience managing social media for high-profile brands.
- Hands-on experience in content management, including copywriting and multimedia content creation.
- Strong understanding of online marketing channels and best practices.
- Confident using social listening tools and analytics platforms to gather and analyse data effectively.
- Proficiency in SEO, keyword research, and Google Analytics to optimise content performance.
- Passion for collaborating within a team of content creators and foster a positive team environment and work ethic.
- Genuine drive to foster strong relationships with teams and external stakeholders.
- A passion and knowledge of sports and/or racing and wagering would be advantageous.
