We're on the lookout for a dynamic and driven Medical & Scientific (MSA) Manager to be a pivotal part of our team at Haleon. As the MSA Manager, you'll collaborate closely with our ANZ MSA Lead to craft and execute innovative medical and scientific strategies, shaping the landscape of evidence generation and external advocacy across Australia and New Zealand markets. Key Responsibilities: As our MSA Manager, you'll play a vital role in steering various Medical & Scientific Affairs activities, including but not limited to:
  • Contributing insights on innovative concepts with a sharp focus on benefit: risk analysis.
  • Spearheading the development and substantiation of science-based product claims.
  • Keeping a vigilant eye on relevant publications, databases, and competitor movements for benchmarking.
  • Providing crucial medical & scientific input to ensure promotional and educational materials meet regulatory and ethical standards.
  • Offering medical & scientific support for product inquiries and complaints, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Cultivating and nurturing relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) to bolster brand reputation and facilitate scientific exchange, serving as a liaison with external organizations.
These responsibilities will entail seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams within Regions and Local Markets, amplifying our impact and reach. Skills and Experience: We're seeking candidates with the following qualifications and attributes:
  • At least 1 year of experience in the Medical Affairs industry, ideally within Pharma, Biotech, CRO, OTC, or Nutritional sectors. Experience in consumer healthcare is a plus.
  • Proficiency in engaging with key opinion leaders, fostering meaningful connections.
  • A solid grasp of medical affairs principles encompassing clinical research, pharmacovigilance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze scientific data and literature, translating complex information into clear, compelling messages.
  • Strong business acumen, with a knack for strategic development within a competitive landscape.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, coupled with proactive decision-making abilities and the capacity to juggle multiple tasks under tight timelines.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective collaboration and drive results.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field (Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or similar).
