Flinders Medical Centre Emergency Department / SSU are looking for their next Consultant Psychiatrist to join their busy and rewarding team.
About the Role:
The Consultant Psychiatrist provides clinical services of the highest possible standard to Mental Health Service Division patients, both in terms of individual performance and by providing clinical leadership and contribution to a multidisciplinary approach to the delivery of patient care. The Consultant Psychiatrist is actively involved in teaching medical students and trainee medical officers and where appropriate Nursing and Allied Health. They participate in clinical audit and quality, continuous improvement, safety and clinical risk management activities and continuous medical education activities.
About you:
- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent. Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.
- Experience with the supervision and teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff.
- Extensive clinical experience relevant to work in Psychiatry.
- Demonstrated high standard of clinical practice in Psychiatry.
