We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to provide comprehensive support to our diesel mechanic team. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our diesel equipment and machinery, contributing to our commitment to excellence in service delivery.Monday-Friday
AFTERNOON SHIFT 2PM - 10:30PM with a 30 Minute lunch break (non negotiable)
Overtime availiable
Responsibilities:
- Assist diesel mechanics in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and other related components.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on diesel equipment, including oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and maximize equipment performance.
- Collaborate with the service team to prioritize and schedule repair and maintenance activities, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of service and maintenance activities, including parts inventory and work performed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques in diesel mechanics.
- Certification or training in diesel technology or a related field.
- Familiarity with computerized diagnostic tools and software (not essential)
