We have three hotels: The Howey, Causeway 353 Hotel, and Causeway Inn on the Mall. We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team!

Full time role with salary range of $70,00 to $80,000 pa plus superannuation

• Supporting the senior management team with market research to identify target markets, competitor analysis, and understanding the local business environment.
• Supporting in the creation and development of sales and marketing strategies tailored to the target market segments including developing pricing strategies, promotional campaigns, and sales tactics to attract customers.
• Work collaboratively with the Revenue team to ensure ongoing research and analysis of product, price, and performance metrics to drive above market performance through identification of opportunities.
• Creating and implementing sales plans that drive measurable incremental occupancy, increase average rates, increase volume, food and beverage sales.
• Driving sales for MICE, corporate, group and leisure markets to achieve the hotels budget performance.
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with potential clients, corporate partners, event planners, and local businesses through networking and attending industry events to promote the hotel and generate leads.
• Identifying and negotiating partnerships with relevant organizations, such as airlines, tour operators, and travel agencies, to drive bookings and increase brand visibility.
• Organising events such as media launches, familiarization tours, and networking events to generate buzz and create awareness about the hotel among key stakeholders.
• Producing and reviewing monthly reports to monitor performance.

• Ideally a Master’s degree or equivalent in business/hospitality/sales or related field.
• A high level of computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe and Photoshop programs, Revenue Management Systems, CRM Systems preferred.
• A high detailed knowledge of Opera PMS desirable but not essential.
• 3 – 5 years experience in a similar role desirable or minimum 3 years experience as an Sales & Marketing Manager.
• A knowledge of Hotel Operations, Guest Service standards and procedures.
• High attention to detail.
• High level of Knowledge of Revenue and Analytical tools.
• Pre-Opening Sales & Marketing experience will be highly valued,
• Exceptional external & internal guest service skills – with a “Can Do” attitude.
• A demonstrated capability of collaborating with multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
• Excellent presentation & grooming.
