Deutsche Bank provides strategic advice over the full range of advisory services from a global platform with a strong presence in the US, Europe and Asia Pacific enabling us to complete innovative cross-border and regional transactions. Our Origination & Advisory (Corporate Finance) business provides the full range of advisory and financing products and services. Our clients include large-cap and mid-cap corporates, financial institutions, governments, government agencies and financial sponsors. With special emphasis on the ability to initiate, finance and successfully complete complex transactions across product classes, our advisory teams provide innovative solutions for our clients based on advice by industry and product specialists.

Your key responsibilities

• Origination and execution of M&A mandates with a focus on Consumer, Retail, Healthcare and General Industrials sectors

• Deal team lead responsible for driving day-to-day M&A transaction execution processes including in-depth financial analysis, valuation, due diligence and industry analysis

• Primary client point of contact on deals, responsible for overseeing M&A transaction documentation and internal approvals

• Lead the development of high quality marketing presentations and industry analysis for maximum client impact

• Reviewing and coordinating analysis and work of junior bankers

• Strong understanding of client needs and market dynamics, supporting generation of new opportunities

• Participation in marketing meetings including client presentations and pitches

• Support senior banker account coverage with a significant opportunity to develop primary coverage responsibilities

• Train and mentor juniors (graduates, analysts and associates) to support the development of best-in-class investment banking skill sets

• Collaborate with colleagues across the business, including other IB sector teams, global colleagues, corporate bank and DCM to drive delivery of Deutsche Bank’s broad global platform

Your skills and experience

• At least 6 years track record in origination and execution of Investment Banking (M&A) deals in Consumer, Retail, Healthcare or General Industrials sectors

• Experience in private equity transactions (M&A and financing) highly regarded

• Highly motivated and self-driven with ability to multitask

• Ability to take initiative with strong critical thinking skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proven track record of training and supporting the development of junior members in team
