About the role

Established in Ballarat, Safety Link is a not-for-profit organisation and continues to provide a quality service to people across Australia including Department of Veterans’ Affairs, Retirement Villages and Community Groups. Safety Link provides variety of services including monitored medical alarms, personal duress alarms and call centre services.

Our Call Takers are customer focused individuals working across a 24 hour, 7 day rotating roster to provide an outstanding service responding to medical emergencies. They are able to work with a sense of urgency whilst remaining calm and focused during intense medical emergencies whilst taking detailed notes, the leadership to make a decision, and maintain a critical link between our clients, emergency services and client’s families, and as such are a highly valued role within our organisation and community.

Key Responsibilities

- Responsible for the daily monitoring of Safety Link clients. This involves receiving and/or making outbound calls to clients and their nominated contacts, according to Safety Link policies, procedures and standards

- Responsible for maintenance of client data systems

- Responsible for ordering replacement alarm units and other associated equipment as required

- Participate in the ongoing Quality Assurance programmes

- Participate in ongoing staff development programmes

- Other reasonable duties as directed by the Call Centre Manager

Skills and experience

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (essential).

- High focus on attention to detail (essential).

- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends (essential).

- Ability to utilise IT systems to perform work functions, including Windows & Microsoft applications (essential).

- Experience working in a Call Centre environment (preferred).
