The Lead Maintenance Controller is responsible for:

Leading the Maintenance Control team by communicating business requirements, providing mentoring support and guidance to the team and tracking performance against business outcomes in support of a world class maintenance control function delivering operational excellence to the airline.

Ensuring the delivery of a safe, compliant, on-time, defect-free and customer centric operation to the airline through proactive defect management, providing on the spot decisions and airworthiness judgements to flight crew and line maintenance engineers in the air, and on the ground in Hong Kong and around the global network.

Active monitoring of aircraft defect alerts and overseeing Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) organisations and line stations for proper troubleshooting and rectification of defects, to minimise customer impact and loss of aircraft availability due to technical delay and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events.

Proactively identifying technical and maintenance risks to the planned operation and collaborating with the airline Integrated Operations Centre and the joint airline/MRO Centre of Excellence to drive the appropriate solutions.

Collaborating with internal departments, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and MROs for efficient and effective solutions to technical defects affecting the flying schedule.

Managing AOG recovery events worldwide, including requirement for Base Maintenance support, through outport Engineering Managers, by tracking milestones and to ensure timely AOG recovery.
Exploring options to execute the most sensible solutions to recover aircraft by considering operation requirements and costs.

Building and managing effective relationships with major MROs and airlines to enable resource access around the network.

Driving MROs to devote adequate manpower and other resources to ensure efficient AOG recovery by reducing idle time to a minimum.

Driving OEMs and Engineering operational teams to deliver quality technical support services.
Reviewing the major AOG events and championing continuous improvement by driving relevant internal and external stakeholders to mitigate causes of customer and operational disruption as well as maintenance burden drivers

requirements:

- 10 years experience as LAE (B1 or B2) with CAAS, CAD, EASA License and 3 years as Maintenance Controller
- relevant working experience (not inclusive of training, OJT, and internship)
- Experience handling commercial aircrafts. Those with wide body experience are highly preferred.
- Able to start work immediately or 1 month notice max.
