ABOUT THE ROLE

The City of Ballarat is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Civil Construction Worker to work within our Infrastructure Construction team servicing the Ballarat municipality to provide and reconstruct road infrastructure assets.

We are looking for passionate people to deliver quality services to the community.

This full-time role enjoys a 9-day fortnight and is responsible for the delivery of services as directed by the Construction Team Leader to construct road infrastructure assets, including footpaths, kerb and channel and drainage projects, for the City of Ballarat.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

  • Knowledge and understanding of health and safety issues relevant to work activities and work area.
  • Heavy Ridged Truck licence including endorsement to enable operation of truck and trailer combinations to 22.4 tonne GCM.
  • Certificate of Competency for Backhoe, Front-End Loader (Excavator and Skid steer is also desirable).
  • Demonstrated relevant experience in the operation of medium and heavy mechanical plant.
  • Traffic Controller Level 2 Worksite management (desirable)
  • Experience with concreting and asphalting (desirable)
  • Construction Induction / Red Card.
