About the role

Are you passionate about financial accounting and reporting? Do you enjoy working in a collaborative and dynamic team to achieve results? We are looking for individuals with demonstrated ability and expertise in the application of the Financial Management Act 2006, Treasurer’s Instructions and Australian Accounting Standards and experienced with the preparation of high-quality financial statements and other statutory reports.

In this position, you will be responsible for the preparation of the Department’s Financial Statements and other statutory reporting requirements. This role coordinates month end processes, adjustments and reconciliations and provide high quality, customer-focused financial accounting services to the Department in accordance with the Financial Management Act 2006, Treasurers’ Instructions, Accounting Standards and departmental policies and procedures.

DLGSC is seeking to establish a pool of Senior Financial Accountant's for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time vacancies. Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments will be made for this or similar future vacancies that arise within the next 12 months across the Department.
