Apex Radiology provides comprehensive Radiology and Tele-radiology services to private medical facilities, public hospitals, WACHS (Western Australia Country Health Service) and also operates a series of stand-alone medical imaging practices across Western Australia.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Apex Radiology is seeking a Radiographer to join the team in Mandurah and deliver a high quality diagnostic imaging service and patient care.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Treat all patients with care, compassion, dignity and respect at all times
  • Perform high quality medical imaging diagnostic examinations in XR and CT
  • Maintaining infection control, this includes knowledge of sterile techniques
  • Be able to work with the radiologist in the performance of procedures and to assist them as required.
  • Familiarity RIS/PACS system to ensure accurate information is entered that reflects the correct service details provided to patients.
  • Foster good public relations and communications with patients, relatives, visitors and the general public
  • Undertake continuing education to ensure maintenance of skills and the ability to adopt newly developed techniques in medical imaging
  • To work within a team servicing locations with 24/7 service and on call roster
  • Manage In patient and Out Patient worklists


TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE

  • Qualifications in Medical Imaging (Bachelor of Science or equivalent) / Tertiary qualification recognised by the Australian Institute of Radiography (AIR)
  • Current licensing and registrations; this includes registration with AHPRA and membership with AIR.
  • Western Australian, Department of Health, Radiation 'Use Licence"
  • A willingness to participate in further education and continued professional development programs
  • Effective time management
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills
  • Minimum 2 years Full time Post Graduate Employment in Radiography
  • CT Training already undertaken or complete and ability to canulate
  • Strong worklist management and Diagnostic image critique
  • Prior Trauma / Acute Imaging experience in XR and CT is favourable
