SAP Cutover Manager (6-Month Contract/Genuine long-term contract possibility/ Well-known market leader)
Location: Melbourne, Australia
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced SAP Cutover Manager to join our team on an initial 6-month contract based in Melbourne. In this role, you will take ownership of assigned projects that are currently in flight and drive cutover plan/ cutover execution. These are high profile projects and business critical so you must have a proven background in the area.
This position is ideal for a seasoned SAP Project Manager who has developed their own cutover plans and executed cutover or an expert Cutover Manager with a strong SAP background (ideally familiar with Supply Chain/ Warehousing projects).
Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute the cutover plan for a significant SAP Project
• Collaborate closely with business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), IT teams, and SAP vendors to refine and enhance the cutover plan
• Ensure all stakeholders are aligned and informed throughout the cutover process
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with the cutover activities
• Coordinate and facilitate cutover rehearsals to validate the plan's effectiveness
• Manage the transition of business operations from legacy systems to SAP, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency
• Provide regular updates and reports on cutover progress to project stakeholders
Skills:
• Extensive background in SAP, with a deep understanding of its functionalities and modules (SAP EWM/ TM beneficial)
• Proven experience in developing and executing cutover plans for SAP implementations or migrations
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and resources effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with diverse teams
• Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and risk management
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
